It's insulting now to not want to mentor people? It's exhausting and frustrating. I don't get any joy from it. In fact I want to write my own code, not look at other people's code at all.

This is a war. Children are writing on reddit about explosions outside their windows. Patreon is doing the morally wrong thing here.

I don't think so. Google and YouTube is completely censored for years and people don't care.

Great graphics, sound, animations, and maps. First time I played it, I couldn't stopped playing it. It was the first game I couldn't put down because it was just so exciting to explore the world and upgrade your character.

I see a huge difference using Kitty, it's much faster than other terminals.

It's literally complete surveillance of our every activity and making millions of dollars from it, without giving anything back to the users who provide the data they profit from. We are all just happy to get virtual likes on Facebook

All that stuff is poison. It comes from a good place but corporate uses it to promote people who should never ever be in a leadership position. Suddenly they get a platform for promoting gender issues instead of focusing on the product.

Because people are so dumb today and don't even understand the critical importance of having and displaying different opinions. Now we want everyone to agree with us, because if they don't, we go into a tantrum.

Google is shit. Kagi is about to go public with their search engine and it blows Google out of the water completely. I've been using it for a few weeks as my default search and its awesome.

Not all of us are used to them. I think they are absurd, and I'm never going to live my life wearing a mask. It's completely unnatural.

This reads like encouraging people to stay with an abusive partner. He will change anytime now...

From what I've read, this is not over. It's just a break. Probably will get a new virus mutation this summer. This goes on as long as its profitable and people keep going along with it.

We need this but not for Google. What's the point of a nice inbox when you are getting spied on and sold to advertisers?

I've met plenty of people who needs to be right and don't even try to be nice. Usually overly intellectual types. But I've also met very smart people who helps others a lot and cares about how they feel. I think it's abo

These exact same words could have been said about the USA also. I think all these big countries just become massively corrupt in the end.

Actually a pretty nice selection of articles. Read about zalando and I'm not surprised they have a great tech team - the company is doing great.

Interesting but there are never just two kinds of thinking. I bet many people fall into other categories that may not even have a name or a description at this point.

I've recently switched to neovim instead of vs code, because it feels great to learn an editor that will always be free and without influence from big tech whims and decisions. It takes weeks of setting it up with nice plugins but once

A company will never care (in the real meaning of the word) about you as a person. You can't combine capitalism with care for humans.

This is the main problem with KDE - it's buggy. I always have bugs with KDE popping up after weeks or months. With Gnome, I have zero bugs (except one time where I had a memory leak and it kept eating my memory).

Every time there is a new plasma release I feel like I want to try it again :) But I'm just so happy with Gnome. Can't complain though, having two excellent desktops to choose from is a luxury problem.
