Such a weird article. Gnome is an awesome desktop, and I can only assume the article author is used to Windows. No desktop icons? Yeah we don't use that anymore, it's not 1990. We type one or two chars in the program name and pres

All information, and people are giving it to them for free. There is billions in dollar of profit from selling peoples data and the user gets nothing of that.

Because Google doesn't want you to have privacy and avoid tracking. They are in the camp that wants more of it, and they want to control it fully on the entire world wide Web.

Linux daily updates takes about 15 seconds (if you are on Arch) and can be done whenever you want. Maybe that should be called a feature now in 2022, when comparing to Windows getting worse and worse.

It's not a tell, I just used an example. Put any colors or genders in the example, the specifics don't matter for what I'm trying to say.

It's pretty much in every tv show if you watch TV. Strong woman = rude woman. Which I think is so stupid. It's not strong to be rude to people. It's just bad behavior and turns you into a bad person. It has gotten to the poin

I know this is the classic thinking about these things. But working in a company where they keep bringing in new employees that are rude (the "strong woman" template), it has given me something to think about. It's just not a

Diversity has nothing to do with company culture being good or bad in most cases. Example: Let's say the company has 100 employees and 90 of them are white and 10 of them are black. As a white engineer, it won't help you if they i

You do know how to fix it - you don't loop in others until you want to. The problem is our industry, forcing developers to exhaust their energy on pair programming in open offices. May as well be in a daycare center with children all a

Completely agree with this, and this is why I simply don't loop in others. I wrote a program the way I think it should be. Clean code, super easy to understand, super low complexity. Anyone can understand what it does. Thats fun for me
