Finland seems to have no issues launching nuclear without russians. But you are right, Russia is big on nuclear. They are authoritarian but are not stupid.

please lets avoid binary discussions 100% nuclear vs 100% renewables. I think all reasonable people agree that it should be a mix with multi-faceted goals of zero emissions, reliability, low cost, stability, etc.

there will be no growth. No growth => no investment which will lead to stagnation. Contrast this with what Finland is doing. Finland is going to be one of the leading European nations in 20 years.

Exactly. And now they don’t have cheap and abundant gas (which is better than coal). So their choices are: (1) to pollute more with coal, (2) to de-industrialize, (3) give up on Europe’s security and offer concessions to russia.
