The article ignores that the DNT header already had some regulatory backing, as in court decisions saying it ought to be respected. https://www.datev-magazin.de/nachrichten-steuern-recht/recht... references such a deci

There were some forks and merges already back then that probably did not help. Then Canoncial hired the main dev, with the main project not surviving far beyond his later departure. Official end point for the project seems to have been htt

After WW1, in the treaty of Versailles the German Reich, having just lost the war, was made responsible for starting it - it played a part in starting it, but was hardly fully responsible. So its successor state got a huge amount of reparat

No, that would be surprising. They only remastered C&C1 and 2. If you want Generals, buy the "Ultimate Collection" bundle.

There is a reason and I think my prior comment made it clear: When your declared purpose is to limit e-waste, making a new product that does not foster that goal risks alienating the people you won with your purpose description.

Framework is great because they took an entshittified category and made a good and repairable product in it, upgradeable in a way the other vendors refused to enable. That was the laptop. Now they made a less repairable desktop PC. This bri

Many have an issue with that stance, including me. The public townsquare has rules about permitted speech, same is true for public plattforms that fulfill that role in the digital realm. Utilities are to be regulated etc. These types of cen

If you spent money on a service you do not really need it matters, or at least it should be easy to see how it might matter. Continuing the payment and usage starts to be something of a social connection or a sign of support. More so if it

I don't think thats correct. Nvidia used that connector first and then a similar PCI spec came out. Compatibility is limited. See https://www.hwcooling.net/en/nvidia-12pin-and-pcie-5-0-gpu-p... from back then.

I don't really get that impression. To the contrary: How dangerous blue light is supposed to be is commonly repeated, with many products for filtering it out, like glasses, and software in all devices that does the red shifting. Androi
