I'm about to go from a 40min commute to an hour and a half commute (or so). It's quite astounding how many people commute in from the suburbs to downtown when it would be much easier and cheaper just to setup smaller offices in th

Rephrased and simplified, now you can push something no one likes except the advertisers if the advertisers pay for it, but in a future internet economy if you push something no one likes, you'd better be prepared to pay for it by you

So? If the payment is less than $10 or less than $50, who cares? The best you can do is warn other people and that sends a stronger message than just getting your money back. Reputation is what counts and you can see this on Amazon and ebay

I don't see how we could have implemented the same in FogBugz. How would you implement the compliance without technology in place? I'm being serious, how do you think compliance happened in the days of 486s, TRS-80s, punchcard

Right and that's why there's things like AirPair where the cost of tutoring goes up and is paid per minute due to the complexity. This scaling has a limit but it's the same as any other field; how many artists go on to be gre

Solution: buy a property in a lower CoL area and then rent it out to yourself. It helps if you establish a few shell and holding companies. Charge as much rent as you're paying in SF and then they can't lower your salary based on
