Fwiw 90C on Large FFTs is much more in line with what I'd expect. Curious if you can actually get it down in the 60s somehow

Either you mean 65C above ambient or something's wrong with your machine, unless you're running liquid nitrogen there's no way that chip's only at 65C under max heat torture. Here's Tom's Hardware getting 90C o

Serde is a common term meaning "serialization/deserialization," seems pretty descript to me.

This is anecdata but two high profile tech layoffs you've read about on here in the last few years gave out more like 2 months per year served, on the low end.

One month of severance for almost four years of employment? That's pathetic, even outside of tech. Definitely affecting my perception of Twilio as a company.

They make low-profile mechanicals that feel and sound much different than the full profile versions you're probably thinking of. I have one of these, it's quiet enough for work and feels great with the banana switches I threw in i

Schwab lets me wire up to 100K a day using an online form, sounds like you need a better bank. I thought the whole point of wire transfers was to move around large sums of money, so it surprised me that you thought it's supposed to be

This has been "coming" for years, I'm sick of seeing the Ethereum community use it as a way to whitewash their wasteful PoW excess. You and everyone else should stop even talking about it until it's shipped.

The problem is definitely hardware. If you actually read the linked sources, it sounds like the Air Force bought a ton of spinning rust HDD machines in 2018 for the lowest possible price they could. They probably only have 4GB of RAM too, t

Table tennis is a great fit here because the physical game isn't reliant on feedback from the ball, either, since it weighs so little. Swinging a bat as hard as you can will easily tire or hurt you in VR, but table tennis transfers rea

Plenty of software engineers know how to put devices on their home network without granting them access to the internet. I have some wi-fi bulbs that I do this for, and I can control them over the network internally.
