This outage made me realize that github is served over a single IP address (A record) for my point of origin (India). Stackoverflow has 4 A record listing, but all of these belong to fastly. The internet is designed for redundancy. Wonder w

If this works, Microsoft is going to hit a long-term retention jackpot. Low-code ecosystems are sticky and excel in ARR as their model is usually consumption based. Moving away costs companies millions. Every employee is automating their wo

I have a side project successfully utilising Firebase auth. But do understand that this is a “sticky” approach. Moving away (for whatever reasons) is difficult. You want to have a clear migration strategy if you opt for 3rd party auth mecha

The first point falls flat. It is as good as saying, earlier you could steal data, now you have to ask and respect consent. Second may have some ground. But does seem shallow once you consider that in order to support small business you are

I appreciate this kind of a view. You may disagree with a few policies of a company and remain in favor of some. Works for people, brands, governments equally.

Digital currency is no different that what already exists in terms of digital representation of one's holding. Really curious to see how the tax payer is going to pay for a glorified database and what value is derived from it.

If this is just a matter of revoked certificates, Apple could very easily setup a subscription for developer certificates on the machine when an app is installed. Why wait to check if a certificate is revoked once an app is launched?

Interesting. I wonder if a $1000/month insurance linked to a customer's subscription would be enough to provide a 1000x cover? Essential proving that the risk quotient is < 1/1000 subscriptions. Such an offering by a cloud

I always wonder if there is value in extending the HTML spec to include contracts in webpages for 3rd party calls. Might help enforce a domain level policy by a domain owner making sure content creators have to oblige. Exactly the reverse o
