The user has not explicitly allowed this information to be collected, yet the software developer wants to . That I think is the definition of spyware. If I were to project this pattern 10 steps further, a software developer may want to kno

How efficient and reliable is the verification with a face holding a card either ways. I would watermark it all over with the Instagram logo to make sure it isn't being used outside of instagram context with sophisticated digital enhan

It would be better to not have video running by default. People can drop in to talk over audio and request to switch over audio if necessary. I honestly prefer the push to talk approach for audio too. It is always better to have explicit us

While at the begining I thought I sensed a bigger argument here, the further I read I am certain the author either prefers to discount MITM or lacks the understanding of the full scope of a MITM. I agree that there are other evils of the we

I moved to iOS to be Google free. Have been happy with my Fitbit until I read this news and went through this exact sentiment. Happy to be part of a vocal minority.

I have always suspected the beefed up valuations of payment apps in India related to lack of regulations in place for use data protection and privacy. Most of these apps seem to be making money on some sort of data driven business models. I

Very valuable inputs. I am looking at AWS SES as a secondary MX record and primary service for outbound email. I'm fine with the hours as I see this as a valuable experiment. Backups indeed.

Climate change doesn't care about which country either. I agree with the fact that China and India need to focus on their emissions, but it seems ridiculously convenient for someone from a western country to ask a couple billion people
