I think this take is weird in many ways, but I wanted to focus especially on the fact that in the EU where its free it costs the exact same to fund a student regardless of if parents are divorced.

It is very fascinating to see a kind of modern day version of the tulip craze play out in real time. What kind of revenue must OpenAI stabilize at to defend such a valuation? It’s not like they have any first mover advantage or other kinds

There you are at the crux of the issue. You can’t trust amazon ratings at all :( But you are completely right btw, it was indeed flydigi and not playdigi. And the one you linked is unknown to me. I bought the Flydigi one after a very in dep

I don’t get why you get downvoted on this comment. Anyone buying from Amazon should realize they are buying from Temu in a trenchcoat, filling the pockets of an immoral man who treats his warehouse workers like chattel. I have bought from a

You could just look at the worlds most sold enterprise product: O365. Enterprise much more expensive and filled with features you can't even buy as addons in the lower tiers. An E5 license is sometimes almost three times more expensive

Yeah I looked closer and I think they are basically just packaging up some kind of offering on top of spinning rust for the two first glacier tiers.

Tape robot time is NOT measured in minutes but hours. Also you wouldn't pull individual files like this out of tape. Tape is for long term sunk storage, not cold infrequent access like a youtube video. I know aws glacier has an "e

I live in such a setup in Norway. Much smaller scales all up than anything in the us, but my little city has about 60k people in the metropolitan area. Gives great options for food, culture and whatnot, but I am only one hour by train from

How about the investor doing some of that due dilligence and demanding a plan for how to make money? ZIRP boosted investment the last ten years has been insane (and stupid).

Interesting. Tesla in Norway is all JIT sales. Cars are ordered and come straight from the docks to the customer. I did not expect Tesla showrooms in the us to carry stock. Maybe walkin purchases are more common across the pond

I think our definition of «solved» might be slightly different hehe. «The production release of TigerBeetle is imminent.» Not putting money into this system any time soon in other words.

Money exists outside us dollar and should be stored ideally a a composite of currency and decimal or just a decimal. Then use currency specific rounding rules and always defer to CLDR [0] when displaying. 1. https://cldr.unicode.

Why do you need substantially more than 80k to live if your house is paid down in cash? Earning 200k is usually about spending half of your net income on mortgages etc. Not that 80k is the lifestyle of a king, but it is plenty to get by wit

A news thing I read today said the trend was opposite. Norwegian article and no reference to whatever publication they based that claim on, but serious newspaper at least. So take the claim with a grain of salt.

It is clear that the car is designed in a country with essentially zero roundabouts. It is very hard to blink «out» of a roundabout when your steering wheel (or yoke) is upside down. The lack of handle for blinkers and handle for cruise is
