Thanks - this is quite helpful and appreciate the kind words. You're right - I have approached some targeted folks for co-founder and it's been harder for this kind of domain. The other issue is that unless it does something (apar

This is cool - I appreciate you taking the time to think about this. And if you're an investor, I hope you find the guide helpful. I like your ideas about making the mission more prominent, which I will do. I have had this struggle in

Are you suggesting an advisor? I guess mentor/advisor are the same thing and I am definitely open to any kind of value sharing - but the question of finding a good person to advice you remains :) I'll check out Vistage - thanks fo

It's too early for VC and I have some early funding from friends/myself. I agree having a good VC on-board would be nice but I think I need to have some success for that?

I have a clear idea of what I am building (based on lot of real life discussions and a bit of iteration) and have an internal early version ( https://stockquanta.com ). Nothing sold yet. But I have also been talking to folks and b

Being a backend engineer for the longest time, I decided to learn how to do web facing projects since September so I can build ideas and show them to others. I have been wanting to build a data/science + finance project for the longes

People want innovation but ultimately they don't want companies to profit off them. In the beginning, everyone loved Google. Now that their innovation gap has increased so much over their peers for some areas, the consequences of that

This is amazing for all computer science degree courses. I wish I had this when I was learning this stuff. Sadly, I think the truth is that most profs or students won't know this platform exists.

The whole backend is in Python + Pandas (which is bulk of the work - market data, quantitative analysis, aggregation, some performance engineering and so on). For the Webapp itself, I used a library called Dash. I recommend it for data heav

It has to hurt somewhere inside Google to kill Allo but not Duo. I honestly expected the opposite given the original push behind these apps. The problem with all these messaging experiences is that none of them work well on both dekstop and

The article is pretty interesting and I didn't read the whole thing. The correlations are positive but not 1, sometimes less than 0.5. So it shows genes are positively correlated, but very different than saying it's an exclusive f

This article, while obviously PR, is confusing to me. It seems to pin too much emphasis on the nature of its hardware as if that's enough to "emulate" the brain. If they don't have folks at the calibre of Deepmind to dri
