heh, just took a look. I don't, in this case, it's worth it. It's "unminified", but it's certainly not readable or at least not worth reading through for a simple application like this. I understand that this i

This is extremely easy to defend from an H1B perspective for an engineer. It just obviously comes under testing the platform that you build, delivering high quality products and building strong relationships with the rest of your team towar

I am typing this from Firefox, which I switched back to right after Quantum. I don't want to give an impression that I'm a shill, but I'm getting more and more intrigued by Brave every day. I think they made the right call by

Sorry, I beg to differ. I think GitLens is hands down the most useful VCS plugin I've ever used in an editor. Every single day, I find myself reading a line or two of code and wondering who added / changed that line and why. Of co

Yeah, I agree. Microtransactions are indeed the elephant in the room. I purposely spoke about the best games, because once you go below that you run into developers who build games that strongly incentivize you to spend lots and lots of mon

Haha, I don't mean offense, but your comment sounds like "back in the day we did things better". There's a huge variety of really games available on iOS that cater to all but most hardcore gamers. Even the games that see

I get annoyed when I see posts like this with revisionist history. I can't comment on everything but: > Unity (abandoned) You probably don't recall how bad Gnome 3 was initially, and how much better Unity was over Gnome 2. Sure

I think this might apply only if you are married but filing together. Not separately. Not 100 percent sure about this though, so feel free to fact check me. We’ve been doing married filing separately and my wife has been getting the full am

Yep, it’s usually not possible for a manager to unilaterally fire you here either. However, a manager who has built up trust, by delivering and building a strong team, can tremendously influence that process.

This is interesting. I lived in Bahrain for about half my life and left around 2004. At that time, I'd say the USA had a much greater leverage on Bahrain than Saudi did. Although, they were still quite cozy. Has that dynamic changed in

Heh! I don't have Big Sur on my work laptop yet :) So, I'll give it a shot as soon as I can upgrade. The standard chrome dev should be good enough, if that's what it is.

On a side note, I find it fascinating that someone who worked on KSplice went on to work on Zulip. Kernel dev and chat software, to me, are two different worlds. Would love to here that story.
