I live in SF and it's certainly far from perfect. California no doubt has its share of problems too. But as noted in comments below, I would never -- not ever -- consider living in a state run by people like Rick Perry.

I don't think there's any malicious intent. In my demographic, (almost) all events are set up through FB because your friend graph, mass-invites, and guest lists are built in. My flatmate's boyfriend is fond of throwing large

FB has, over the years, gradually lost my trust until I deleted my account in November 2010 after having been a member since late 2004 when FB was college-only. As a 20-something living in SF, it's a daily thing now: I don't get i

It is my own MUD-specific implementation for cardinal directions. Next up is a gesture for up/down. :)

Thanks! I'm also looking to do gestures for Aliases, commands, and assisted key entry. MUSHes in particular use characters %@&*= that are just awful on the iOS keyboard.

It may surprise some HNers to learn that there are still thousands of MUDs online today in many different settings: fantasy, sci-fi, absurdist, and more, some of them with hundreds of players on concurrently. And not just MUDs, but MUCKs, M

I used Billmonk for years with my flatmates until, sometime last year, their site became so consistently unreliable -- and often unreachable -- that we moved to a competitor (splitwise). I heard nothing from Billmonk for months until this o

Thanks! I wanted to include some of the more popular MUDs, but not so many as to be overwhelming for newbies. 1.0.1 is already with Apple and I've got some really exciting gesture-based movement coming up in 1.1. Reviews are always apprecia

Clickable: http://appstore.com/mudrammeramodernmudclient http://splinesoft.net/ I'm hard at work on 1.0.1. I'd like to do gesture-based movement (e.g. diagonal swipe up and left to go northwest) in a manner that doesn't interfere with s

Nonsense. I've been using Sparrow as my primary email client and I don't use GMail. I like the GMail-esque concept of archiving items out of your inbox and ultimately aiming for inbox zero. It works on third-party IMAP just as it does on GM

I wonder the same about mobile web apps. Why try so hard to make the visual design and user experience so similar to a native app...when you're not a native app? I'm sure LinkedIn spent an inordinate amount of time tweaking javascript to ap

I like the idea and signed up. I set a small (20x20) image as my background and was dismayed to see it sad and alone in the center of a black background. Could you add an option to tile background images?

Secrecy: Apple's secrecy is comparable to the U.S. government's in terms of "need to know" and compartmentalization. This. My roommate is a hardware engineer on the iPad team, and he won't even confirm that there will be another iPad. He
