According to that definition, yes. You have programs, you have a UI to control them, they have a CPU and memory.

Totally agree. That's where the line is drawn I think. Otherwise everything is a computer.

If the definition is so broad, my oven and fridge are computers.

Those are servers. If we want to classify devices, we need to group them somehow. Otherwise we call them devices and call it a day.

If a keyboard (and a decent-sized screen) can be added, definitely a mouse and a mouse-centric interface. I have tried using an iPad Pro for productivity, and it's living hell.

No, but a smartphone is not a computer. Smartphones are capable of computing and are sometimes very powerful, but the analogy is totally out of wack in my opinion. If you can live without using an actual computer, it means you don't re

I've had bad experiences with Snap. I understand that with Snap devs have to bundle their own dependencies and take care of upgrading, which is bad if I understood correctly. In my case, a few programs I had installed needed to be conn

I think it _has_ been better. Unity has brought a lot of innovations, and it would have been a lot better to keep it around. Gnome devs started making extremely unpopular changes that are hard or impossible to revert. Unity at least put som

I have AdGuard, a paid adblocker that blocks ads in apps as well. Whenever I use my girlfriend's phone I wonder how people can actually enjoy the internet in the state it is.

Well, by "under the table" I mean that those workers are unknown to the government, so I don't think there is a way to know for sure. The government's estimates are at ~15%. From my experience, most workers in agricultur

I'd like to add that actual figures for Italy are hard to estimate correctly. Many, many people work under the table, very often pretending that they're still out of work to keep getting the unemployment check.

I make this often to make żurek--a Polish soup. Basically, instead of putting it into bread you add it to a broth with sausages, bring it to a boil for two minutes or until it gets dense, and it's ready. One of my favorite.

Sure! Pretty much the same as Astral, but for your own repos--not just starred ones. In short, I'd like to login with my GitHub account, the thing fetches all my repos, and I can group them and tag them. I might fork Astral as see if I

Thanks, I'll take a look. Congrats, I think it takes some courage and determination to succeed at fasting for so long!

What was your goal? I read a few days ago about hunger helping with chronic pain and I read a few articles about fasting (although, you're saying you don't feel hungry anymore after a while, which would not be poaitive in my case)

Yes, after taxes. Taxes are about 45%. In Poland (where I live, although I'm from Italy) they get 50k/y before taxes, but taxes are 19% flat and the cost of living is about half compared to Italy. Go figure...

I had many problems with my MBP, and it came out so long after the last model, that I completely abandoned Apple after I'd say 8 years. I think there should've been a massive recall. I don't know why people put up with spendi
