It was a sad day when _why left programming. I always thought he was one of the most creative people currently working in any medium, and we were lucky to have him choose code to express his ideas. Does anyone have any idea what he's been d

(Not OP, but I do work with Django every day for the past couple of months): 1. Django docs, while great compared to many other projects, are still quite lacking, especially in examples. 3. It's probably true, compared to the quantity of PH

It's not really a lack of dev talent in NYC, rather a surplus of founders. There are many committed and hardworking founders in NYC, but there's also an NYC phenomenon of the startup-as-country-club, where people with spare cash/time go int

Certain time, certain place. Check bus stats in Israel between 1993-2006 - I guarantee you will find significantly more passengers died of bombings than accidents. In any case, the stats are meaningless, as they have nothing to do with huma

You are extrapolating from your own experience on situations which are very different. My argument has two points: 1. I don't consider the current situation in the US "terror". I'm talking about different times and places. If you were board

Google "Rasmus Lerdorf". Look at some of his presentations & posts (which btw are impressively ego-free, compared to the usual output of web mini-celebs which achieved a lot less). He's far from being stupid or lazy, but like any good d
