As defensible as it may be, your behavior is very far from the norm. You may not consider this a aggressive privacy practice but demographically speaking, it absolutely is.

Can you share an example of what you're talking about in PHP 8.5? On the linked web page, the only code pattern that looks remotely complicated to me is the following: #[SkipDiscovery(static function (Container $container): bool

I'm guessing you have a very positive experience with gaming PCs; I wish I could say the same. My Windows PC: - Randomly BSODs because of (I think) a buggy Focusrite audio interface driver (that I can't fix and Focusrite refus

Why is it that any discussion on the horrors of meat-eating and factory farming inevitably invites this kind of morally nihilistic hedonism. Just because you like doing a thing does not make that thing justifiable. It’s that simple.

I was just about to comment the same. I’m sure people have a good reason for it (or at leafy _a_ reason), but single-letter variable names always struck me as optimizing for the wrong thing. As someone who likes to program in Haskell, I fee

Thankfully, there are actually laws about this sort of stuff! So companies don't (necessarily/always) just get away with "you shouldn't have listened to us, this is your own fault."

No, I meant to reply to you. I was curious about your practical use case for disabling code signing (which I think is what you refer to by telemetry) and messing with the boot volume.

Just out of curiosity, are these philosophical objections or do you have a practical use for disabling code signing and messing with your boot volume?

I'll admit I have not read this article incredibly thoroughly, but I don't see what you're claiming. The article is contrasting the growth of the AI industry with the slump in manufacturing. I don't think it's posit

I'm on iPhone too; I'm referring to the way scrolling down with your finger animates the content sideways, which I really don't think works well — it would have been better to just be able to scroll sideways.

This is neat. It's a little hard to compare the best-performing models ("~ 0.00006232g" vs. "~0.00013746g" is not easy at a glance) --- perhaps better to use scientific notation, milligrams, or CO2e per 10M tokens?
