That's a tough question. My policy was to never compete on price. The cheapest clients are also the most demanding. I priced per project because the scope was small and it let me charge much more per hour. It was fun earning 50-100 CAD

I got my last job in 2018, so treat this as outdated advice. I git my start making websites for small businesses. Then I got more complex projects, and eventually contracts as a web developer. Then I started university and had to pause all

I am Canadian. Call it an internship or an entry-level job. In the end it's the same outcome: you get paid significantly less but you get a patient employer and an opportunity to learn.

Consider the intended audience though. This is for people who are lost and need perspective and concrete steps for improving. Compared to all the "fake it 'till you make it" or "just stop caring" type of advice, it&

As I wrote in a root comment, it’s decimating the traffic of informational websites. We will lose a lot of those websites that produced high-effort, simple-conclusion information. Who will bother with in-depth reviews if someone else gets t

I am a former software engineer. Now I run a website that helps people settle in Germany. Google AI summaries and ChatGPT have almost halved my traffic. They are a scourge on informational websites, parasites. It’s depressing to see the ind

The best guide I have ever seen is https://succeedsocially.com/ It’s so unbelievably straightforward and useful. It’s unfortunate that I discovered it after learning everything the hard way.

I mostly read digital, but I love passing books around too. Our friend circle is turning into a little library. You can also find books in public bookshelves. Give one, take one.

I write guides for a living, and my audience is largely comprised of non-native speakers. I write simply and unambiguously, and I've been told multiple times that my style seeps through my blog posts, my comments and my text messages.
