Does a standard home inspection catch things like this? I've purchased homes, and always had an inspection done, but never watched them actually 'inspect.' Curious if they use detection devices for things like this. Also, how does the gover

Actually, I think he's suggestion that we should let the hardware manufacturers and OS providers worry about scaling content to their screens/OS, rather than doing it all client side.

I'm saying that in many cases, you don't have two projects, you have just one, which is that of the website built for desktop/laptop screens. Could be a cheap client, or a short-term project that doesn't require a mobile site, etc.

I'm going to take exception to your 2nd point. To start, regardless of whether the experiment pays off long-term, that does not negate the fact that it does require extra design and development time. There is much more code to handle, regar

It really is. I think their pricing structure is a little off, but it's a service I gladly pay for and recommend. I met the guys at LessConf last year, and they're great people, so it's a win-win in my book.

I agree. It doesn't require anything extra to use an email address that accepts replies. Even if they go into a dark hole and are never read, at least you aren't sending a message that you don't care what the receiver thinks. When I receive

I don't agree. I've personally emailed every single one of our IgnitionDeck customers, about 20% of which reply. It takes maybe 2-3 minutes extra per reply. Initially, I used TextExpander, and later, Intercom. These are paid customers thoug

I'll admit that I was a little bummed after reading this article. Every single PG essay I've read left me feeling stoked, lit on fire like I could take on the world. I felt I could identify with the man, and like I belonged here. This essay

Give me an example of this 'injustice' that you speak of? I try to convince everyone I know to become a programmer, white, black, man, woman, etc...and it doesn't matter. People gravitate to whatever they want to work on. It's not like you

If balance is required, than I suspect it will there in its own due time. There is absolutely no reason to force it. I remember missing out on a college scholarship because I wasn't hispanic, and while I didn't let that stop me from pursuin

I don't use Quora often, but it's one of the top 5 referrers for http://ignitiondeck.com , one of my company's flagship products. Doesn't mean I think this situation is OK...still trying to discern whether I should care.
