Same here. Everyone always thought it was strange. I just thought it was less messy.

You speak as though you are not a fan of SpaceX. Care to explain why?

Just a web developer looking to get in this field but would work for free to get my foot in the door. Would love to chat.

I feel exactly the same way. I pay for Codeschool because I enjoy playing around with it, and would have assumed that my payments would be used to fund the development and advancement of their curriculum. To see this leaves me feeling soure

I pay for cable, but to me that isn't the issue here. The issue is that the results of this event were already posted, tweeted, and shared long before the event aired. It was a Saturday, why wouldn't they just show it live and if they wante

Looks neat, but I don't see that it is open source.

How so? I thought they were doing a decent job of developing the product, and wanted to support a for-profit business. In many ways, they made APIs sexy. It's just a shame that they've become a monster.

This space is officially ripe for disruption. I was against an open-source version of Twitter because I really respected the brand and its tech....but now I'm not so sure. Would love to work on a replacement.

Exactly. Ask him first, then if he doesn't see a problem with it after explaining your side, write an entry on the issue somewhere so that you can point people to it later. Blog post, etc.

When hiring, I am more attracted to candidates with side projects on their resume than those without them. Some might feel it shows a lack of dedication to their 'job,' but I find that they are usually more talented and productive on the wh

I'm not arguing for or against Wikileaks as illegal, I'm just wondering if, from a purely legal standpoint, Visa has a right to refuse service to a business based on their terms of service?

Don't credit card providers' terms of service give them the right to block payments to those that use the service in violation?

Sure, but that's becoming par for the course. You could easily blame the backers as much as you could the creators. I've backed many projects that were much simpler and still had huge delays...Pogo's Tibet remix as an example.

I'm really surprised by the amount of criticism this project is getting, especially compared to the dozens of other Kickstarter 'hits' that I felt were more deserving of said critique. The real question to me is this - can this team pull it

Look at how long it took them to actually talk about the product...wow! Kickstarter has an amazing ability to talk about themselves as if they create everything that sells there. I pledged the $99 level on this one, with limited expectation

ha! Just hit my 1 year mark and got bumped from 2 weeks (5 days personal, 5 days vacation) to 3. Since things like getting sick and/or personal time are deducted from the balance, I had to wait until the end of my year to take a vacation (i

Not necessarily. If they increase DPI to reach that resolution, I'd have to switch custom graphics to UIKit controls, or create them for the 7" form factor. Starting to look like image.png, image@2x.png, image-ipad.png, image-ipad@1.5x.png,

As a developer, the thought of supporting yet another resolution/form factor scares the hell out of me. I rarely use my Kindle Fire because I feel it's too small, and can't imagine finding a need for a 7" iPad. That's what my iPhone is for.

Meh, I don't know if I agree at all. I'm in the ballpark of the given number, and yes, I'm relatively happy with how much I make and what I can do with it, but I'm not going to stop trying to make more. I want to make things, and money is a

This might not relate, but I'd be interested to know how many of the people that think this is a good idea would also support Google were they to take a stance on something as charged as abortion?

I'm not sure I agree with this. In many ways, this fight mirrors that against racism, and in many of this similarities I find issues that could negatively affect progress. For example, saying that anti-gay people shouldn't be coddled is fin
