I use IRC daily at work and also at home (these days I only frequent 1-2 channels at home). IRC is still pretty popular here in Finland among certain people.

You don't need VS for TS. Eclipse and WebStorm support it pretty well. I've evaluated Visual Studio, Eclipse and WebStorm, and Eclipse and WebStorm are better for TypeScript development, at least if you're using Node.js.

Well, even if it's directed at C# by Microsoft, it's used by a lot of people that are not into Visual Studio or Microsoft. TypeScript is a lot more than "IDE tooling", even though proper intellisense makes it a lot of ni

It's unfortunate to see that the product uses animal-based foods, and eggs at that. Something like Soylent should in my opinion be vegan (for the environment and the animals). If I recall correctly, Soylent was pretty close to vegan.

If you strip out the good parts of PHP, you're not left with a good language. With JavaScript you do. That's why modern languages are copying JavaScript's killer features, like anonymous functions and closures. In addition, t

Energy efficiency means many different things. It's tricky to estimate if the total energy efficiency is smaller using a reusable rocket. Could be.

SpaceX is optimizing costs rather than energy-efficiency. Obviously you need less fuel if you're not doing a soft-landing back.

I think a compromise is more constructive: fix as much as you can in a given period, and then find a better job. Apparently a 4 month programming stint doesn't lookt that good in a CV.
