Sometimes I even wish they could embed a JavaScript interpreter... After all, YAML is almost equivalent to JSON, which the perfect templating language for JSON is -- JavaScript tbh. Or people have to keep inventing half baked things.

I doubt it, since provinces other than Hubei province had significantly lower cases. It is a huge country and it was "so many flights" from China, instead of "so many flights" from Hubei province. If it's hard to wr

I'm not sure if this is good or bad. Maybe time will tell. One thing popped up in my mind was YouTube demonetized a lot of videos that are not 'family-friendly', and eventually destroyed a lot of great content creators.

First, it's easy to fix by just using ===. Second, It's more of a blub programmer thing. From multiversal equality's perspective, almost every mainstream statically typed language is also a semantic mess - you can even compar

You're right about the counters/classifiers do exist in ancient Chinese. If there no classifiers there would be no straight forward way to specify if it's "a cup of water" or it's "a bucket of water".

The actor model is not performant with numerical computing since there are usually messaging overhead. And it might be more straightforward and use it in the typical ways instead of putting them in actors. If it is worth learning, the reall

The one thing I love about Chinese is, it's just like English use the canonical 'the' instead of German 'der/die/das' - it rarely classifies things. For example, 'someone is doing something' woul

Plain global state is not that bad actually. What people do to fix the global state made things worse, and IMO OO is also a terrible attempt. Mutate coarse-grained or global state is pretty much similar to functional programming approaches.
