Well you said it yourself, CFOs go to prison for it. I’m sure if as a society we treated academic fraud like financial fraud the situation would be different. I don’t think it’s linked to companies being for profit or not

Sure, but that doesn’t help determine the punishment. If everyone in Manhattan were to shit on the sidewalk life would be horrible, but that doesn’t mean we should put someone who does it in prison

In my experience, with these types of project, 20% of the error is on useless partners, 80% on useless clients, who have no knowledge of how their current system works, are not willing to compromise on any existing features (because it'

it's less "customisation" than "implementation". they're not changing core code in the system, they're just writing all the config and the workflow apps on top. this is the case for any large organisation,

What type of contractor? Micro-entreprise is really simple for side gigs, and if it's your main job, declaring as an SAS and getting an accountant makes it (relatively) painless in my experience

If that were the main factor you’d expect to see much higher fertility rates in French families for example, which isn’t really the case (especially if you exclude families of foreign descent)

Maybe that’s specific to big US cars? Drum brakes are still completely standard on entry level european and Asian models. Rear discs only come into play when you’re going above 100hp and/or 1300kg

Just don’t accept the meetings. Or even better talk to the offender and explain why you won’t be going. A bit of communication is a small price to pay for the upsides of easy scheduling

As with the travel business, the main complexity is rescheduling. A sudden big sales opportunity at the same time as an important internal meeting you’re hosting with 10 people? What could be done in a few clicks with outlook or equivalent
