Something more like "Death's Door" or "Valheim" would be something that interests me personally :) So yeah, I have no idea how Proton works.

Same here. I wonder if Proton is tightly bound to x86_64? My first generation M1 is pretty capable as a low to mid-tier games machine but even with stellar Rosetta 2 performance it's ultimately held back by still too few Mac ports in g

Are you sure you know enough about knock-on effects of nuclear war? I can recommend the writings of William J. Perry [1] and for blunt emotional effect the BBC movie "Threads" [2]. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki

I know python (3) is an object oriented programming language by design but none the less I was wondering if some “functional” pythonista’s had recommendations on some good “less (oop) is more” patterns to share in here?

I remember watching it as a teenager back in 1997. I was the only one laughing in the cinema, it was just hilarious. It immediately dawned on me after though: why was no one else laughing, really? In Austria of all places. Hadn’t anyone els

I’m not an economist but afaik if minimum wage would have kept pace with productivity it would be at USD ~50k at this point. So if we talk about skilled labour of any sort USD 200k would be somewhat normal across industries.

I gave up on crypto because of the failed promise of proof of stake in ethereum especially. We are talking 2015 here. AFAIR it’s been minimum 6 years. Tezos has been looking interesting though I never looked in detail anymore. OCaml based,

Long term Safari fan here. The new tabs have terrible UX but what's worse is stability. Whoever is "at fault" there - don't try to use jira with the latest Safari as it will crash eventually.
