Try reading? > Bloomberg has successfully helped shut down about 70% of all coal plants in the U.S. He can fly around in a coal powered jet for all I care, he has done more to improve emissions than maybe anyone alive?

Did you read the article? Seems not. This is for research, advocacy, and lobbying to get them shut and have the localities favor green energy. They are not building new energy sources, just pushing along and speeding up the transition. In t

What's the issue here? There is a TON of disinformation from the coal industry (and energy industry, generally) to counteract. If the data this effort produces is grounded in decent research, it's a net positive for everyone.

You don't think techniques have improved since the 1940s? Of course the data would be different with 60-70 years of improved collection techniques, analysis tools, and theoretical knowledge about the climate.

The ViewComponent (viewcomponent.org) project brings a lot of the benefits of components to Rails views. It makes data dependencies explicit, it makes them testable, and reusable. Worth checking out, but it doesn't address unidirection

And yet, likely still slower than a plain Ruby on Rails app. This is not a troll, Rails remains one of the quickest, simplest, out-of-the-box ready solutions for a web app. Every time I am tempted to try NextJS or the JS ecosystem in genera

And, if the build speed it that much slower, get another 3d printer! Because it takes so much less manual labour, you can parallelize it in a very cost effective manner and ultimately end up with a faster production rate.

My quick comment left off some of the context that was in my head. The retrofit part of this was referring to the ban on gas stoves being about fumes/pollutants in the household air. If you didn't have an externally venting vent h

You can definitely get 120v induction cooktops. There's no need for 240v.

Surely you can see how induction would become much, much cheaper with mass production and adoption after this ban comes into place. Cheap to retrofit, no emissions, no fossil fuel use. Induction is pretty much better in all conceivable ways
