Gmail was invite only at one point. I remember when everyone was clamoring for an invite. I wonder if it would’ve had the same success without that hype.

Reddit home now shows me repulsive “suggestions” that are very toxic. The popular tab is almost unusable. The only difference is you don’t see the toxicity in arguments as often, because any dissent is downvoted and effectively squelched. I

I’m a SWE at a FAANG company and hell no I don’t want a union. I busted my ass to get here and I’m compensated for it. I want my destiny in my control. Not some other large entity that probably doesn’t have my best interests at heart.

There was a video of them kicking out some dude with a confederate flag. I’ve only seen the Nazi flag in a couple pictures and seemed like it was never in the middle of the rally. Source: https://thepostmillennial.com/canadi

It’s a sad fact of life there will always be injustices. People can still make good choices and have positive outcomes in bad environments. We need to stop trying to be devoid of personal responsibility as a society.

Most places are weak on crime. We have a judge in Minneapolis over the last week: 1. Some guy chased a woman in his car and she ran to a fire station. He crashed into the fire station and fought firefighters. Released 0 bail. 2. Violent cri

What other respiratory virus in human history has caused chronic long term effects to the young and healthy? Statistically we should be much more worried about something like RSV or the flu (even after vaccination).

It’s been stated the flu, even with vaccination, is more problematic to this age group than Covid-19. I think restrictions around this age group are a net negative.
