This is why I'm returning mine after four days, despite it being the best device I've ever used in my life. Apple has thrown around the word "magic" for different devices, but the Apple Vision Pro is truly worthy. I'

Thank you, I’ll fiddle with that. WiFi is good and my 14” M3 is using its native resolution, whatever the default is.

I agree. As much as tech communities tend to dump on achievements, we really should applaud this work. I can't wait to see breakdowns of versions 2, 3, 4. As you begin to master your own creation and manufacturing process, it will be n

The display may be 3,386 PPI, but wow my laptop screen has never looked sharper after taking the AVP off my head. Screen sharing from my Mac looks distractingly bad, which is a huge bummer. (AVP apps, by contrast, look fantastic.) No matter

I own a Quest 3 and on day three of AVP. I can assure you, the difference in quality - and therefore movie-watching experience - is night and day between these devices. Watching a movie in AVP is outstanding. This device doesn't shine

On Day 2. It's genuinely amazing. It's really a fantastic product all around and surprisingly useful. Watching Gravity last night in the "theater room" was a truly special, immersive experience. I just threw it on to see

Garry Tan seems to benefit from this system as well. Nothing sensationalist about tracking his awful behavior.

Underspeced? What? Compared to what? This is not even remotely defensible. In its spec it offered a full color multi-touch gesture display —instead of a 132x65 pixel black and white screen. Like Steve Jobs said, products are a series of cho

That simply isn't true. It's quick to get an R1S or R1T. My delivery advisor said a custom configuration in the Boise area could pop up in as little as a couple weeks.

I can connect to the sentiment of that, but it's a ridiculous thought in practice. The board, which can come and go, is not a personal guarantor. They have a fiduciary duty, of course, but they're not individually bringing in the

Elon Musk himself talks out of both sides of his mouth. He says public markets are the best way to ensure accountability and alignment. He also says to avoid, if possible, ever going public due to regulatory overhead. I suppose both can be

This is not a well-reasoned essay. If we had 400 years to solve a waste heat issue, could we? I’ll continue to place bets on humanity.

I don’t have any reason to trust Sam Altman much. To me, he seems polished enough to actually be slimy. He’s well liked by others but wealthy tech is a particularly insular group. But my god, in what world should the future of “AI safety” b

The best talent will leave OpenAI the moment Sam announces his new venture. Deep down builders want to build, and they want to do it as quickly as possible. OpenAI will represent caution. NewCo will represent opportunity. Opportunity wins.
