My earliest RTS is TA and we played the heck out of it. I think the SpringRTS is a worthy successor.

Really, I have both of them (X1 2016) and I prefer the build of the XPS. The X1 has better keyboard, but not by much. The XPS has aluminum on the top and bottom making it more study and not plastic feeling. I don't baby the XPS as much

I second this, I have the 2015 XPS13 with 8GB of ram. It has been a champ, I too had to ditch the broadcom wifi and replace it with an Intel one.

Lenovo and Dell sometimes have broadcom wifi which are utter crap. If you do go down that route just order an intel wifi and replace it, normally a 5 minutes job and save hours worth of headaches.

I think this is sound advice. I've been pretty much following this rule. Basically nothing is off limits as long as it isn't processed, home made apple pies and good spaghetti. Of course in moderation :) Edit: Would like to clarif

I have heard of really bad horror stories on the merchant side. While on the consumer this its great, if the merchant side is horrid, you can bet it will hurt the adoption of bitcoin.
