Hi Allison, thank you for sharing your story. It’s inspiring in during a tough time. Just wondering if you were able to find contracts regularly with ease? If so, how did you do that? Thank you.

BitWarden just announced secret management. https://bitwarden.com/products/secrets-manager/ For AWS definitely use SSO with short lived credentials and proper landing zone setup.

An amazing solution to this problem I have seen in Taiwan almost 8 years ago. 7/11 is ubiquitous. And every store had a multi functional, professional grade printer. You simply email your document to a central address. It emails you ba

I bought a kit on Amazon from a major provider. It was a Father’s Day promo. So it’s safe to assume at least half of purchases were gifts. And Amazon FBA does not share buyer data with the seller. Plus then I used all anonymous services, li

Oh cool story! Same guy posted a nasty review on my profile (like as if he was a client) after I refused to install the tracking software which was only mentioned in the on-boarding document and never during the interview process. I only le

You can do that with esbuild. Just bundle the handler entry into a single file and esbuild will tree shake the cruft out. That's the approach taken by AWS CDK as well.

Is there a way to use our own cache server? E.g. with Turborepo the cache server spec is somewhat known and there are plenty of various implementations in the wild.

This is exactly it. And the increase in total fees is a transfer of marketing budgets from other platforms like Google Ads and Facebook ads to Amazon Ads. If anyone thinks 50% cut is a big margin they probably haven’t operated an e-commerce

Have been ripping my hair out because `tailscale up` is not working. Turns out there is a major outage. Just trying to help other devs who have almost thrown the computer out of the window today, because of that.

Same here. I split tested Kagi for every result for a few days. I used an Alfred workflow to open results in both engines at once. Then I switched to Kagi full time and never looked back. Been using it for a few months now and I’m still sup

What if a country has two official languages (Canada) or three (Switzerland) or eleven (South Africa)? Do you need to learn them all, as a foreigner? What about as a naturalized citizen? What about as a born citizen? What if a country has a

I honestly don’t get all the file routing hype. How hard is it to setup a React Router? It’s like a few lines of code and you get a massively flexible setup, without any lock-in.

Could you break down the costs of AWS? From your post you say you needed a simple service plus a Postgres instance. I think you can have that for around $50 on AWS using a small EC2 and Aurora Serverless v2 (min $40/mo)
