Value is relative and it is in the eye of the beholder, much like beauty. Where I want to get is that 12k might sound much but in US the same people would pay almost double sometimes for a car.

The comment can be considered a meaningful contribution as well. Dialog is not only information but also flow enablers and/or facilitators. The fact that (s)he expressed sympathy/approval might show that others think the same, wh

The article advised just that: state the salary range that would be ok for you. In your example, you could have said just that: my current experience makes me feel comfortable with a range between X and Y. Serves both yours and the recruit

It would be the reasonable thing to do. The problem I see is when the "altered" car crashes into a stock one onthe road. The un-altered car's owner might sue on the grounds that there no proper controls on the modified car&#x

The value proposition needs to be right. So far, tech companies only propose to let people come and work, for 3 to 6 years. There is no guarantee made to the exceptional programmer that the company will apply his/her green card, and he

At the moment .NET is making great inroads into all mobile platforms (mainly due to Xamarin's iOS and Android platforms). The one area where Microsoft needs to push more i son the server side: to be able to develop ASP.NET apps and pu

For them to invest serious resources into a Mono fork and also in a proprietary solution (il2cpp) shows that they do not believe in a deal for a license of their liking, whatever the reasons: interpersonal or purely monetary.

Unreal's model of subscription+5% of top revenue becomes a real nice deal when coupled with Mono. All o fthe sudden there is room for C#/.NET devs to be able to contribute to the platform. It should be a nice boost for UE4's

Unity has negotiated a license with Novell. Now they would have to do it again with Xamarin for the newer version of Mono. But we don't know if Unity was really nice to the Mono guys when Novell pushed out what would quickly become Xam

When unity got their mono license xamarin wasn't yet a business, hence the license was most likely zero.

I suspect the issue is related to the licensing fee which might be on a per dev seat and hence might not fit unity 3d's business model. Unless there is a hard stop issue, business wise, it won't happen.

In your assessment I would switch out GOOG with MSFT. To me Microsoft is the better one at doing retail cloud than Google. Even Apple is using MSFT for their cloud backbone. Apple is not selling cloud directly to consumers, but every app&#

When the cheap money stop that's when the adjustment happens. Until then, as Fred said, they have to keep on dancing. And eyeballing intensely the next empty chair.

Brian Acton's rejection by Facebook is used as a pro argument for the idea that tech companies are just pretending to not find qualified candidates, when there are plenty. I am not sure which way it is but the argument used is flawed.

Windows 8 is great once you learn two shortcuts: First, Win+Q for searching and starting any program you need. Second: Win+R to get to the Run window. With these two you just move very fluidly to where you need to be on a Win 8 machine.
