My init.el is really portable. It loads org mode and then loads my org ified configuration. >.< I'm a huge fan of that style cause I can test out changes with c-c c-c and then document to my future self anything of the why. It is

Cool, so if/when the guile vm is default, does that mean we could finally get better process control in emacs? Honestly I love emacs but it is not the most performant thing on the planet. Redrawing taking tons of time bugs that have ex

I love use-package, its made my emacs configuration so much less spaghetti thrown at a wall. https://github.com/mitchty/dotfiles/blob/master/emacs/.emacs... You can get fairly tricksy with it.

I work at a supercomputer company, they've always referred to it thusly as codes. Consider it the same as humor versus humour in computing and don't read too much into it. It comes from a lot earlier time from what I can gather, p

Yep, i have some wd red 3tb drives in a raidz6 pool. At best I can get 60m/s out of it. Each drive can do about 100m/s sequential but that is rare. Putting an ssd on for caching read/writes though really changes the calculus

Browser plugins saving me from having to copy/paste are a huge win in my opinion. Prevents me from accidentally copy/pasting things and makes for really nice login behavior. I'll look at some of this tonight thanks!
