Not until you demonstrate that they are correct. Hard to dispute platitudes. I'll start, that first one regarding education. Is it easy to learn now with the internet? Sure, undoubtedly true. Is that measurably better than before for a

No that is when radioactive forms of carbon start to push us into a different situation with regards to radiocarbon dating. It is basically pre nuclear weapons and post now.

It is in octal actually, and it isn't overly portable. It should also start with a 0 to be "correct". Which in this case "correct" means the libc inet_aton() function will accept it and convert it to an ip address.

What happens when we move to ipv6 then and have privacy extensions? Block a new ip address every 3-8 hours depending on what os is backing things?

Yep, core os technologies would be the way to read it.

Thats great, so which is it then, total dollars or return on federal dollars? If i put in 1k in federal taxes and get 800 back, what matter is it what state i'm in? Or are we saying Delaware residents getting 70 cents on the dollar is

Not even close, Delaware, Minnesota, and Illinois are the top 3 that get the least back from federal taxes on a per dollar basis. http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2014/05/which-st... Californi

Sounds a lot like where I was born. Well outside of the summer homes for rich people bit that is. Fun bit about not plowed roads in winter. We had a storm come through one year in the... 90's? can't recall but anyway the national

Guesses? They encountered a problem, or the teams doing the updates are out of sync. Or they're scrambling to get it out due to some caching problem. Who knows really any number of things could be going wrong.

I have a 128g 6+, for whatever reason on just one wifi network when I activate the vpn, I can reliably blue screen the phone. Note I'm not joking its a giant screen of blue then boom restart. I assume that is a kernel panic of sorts. B

My biggest annoyance is having people behind me. I can't get rid of that prey feeling of being watched. Super annoying and distracting feeling. That and motion in the periphery of the rods always serves to get noticed. Headphones also

Mimic sure, but it won't be quite the same. I won't deny you can't do a one off job possibly cheaper on aws. The thing is, these simulations run for weeks or months on end and these clusters are run and setup to run at 100% a

I work for a supercomputer company. There is almost no way you'll get anywhere near the performance you need on EC2. Supercomputers today are built to transfer data between nodes using locality of the node as well as its physical locat

I've only used flow control when booting systems like solaris on a serial console or other embedded hardware. Almost never for a tty session. I'm almost always saving output to a file and looking at that. Or using less +F or tmux

That is cool and all, but its really really annoying the amount of history that thing throws at your browser. Took about 10 tries of going back as far as the history would allow to get back here. I hate sites that do that junk.

Fair enough, though I tend to just use tee and/or tmux for things like that. Just turn logging on if I'm curious and let things continue on their merry way. Only time i've ever used it was when booting a system to stop output

While this wouldn't have fixed this issue, this is why you should have: stty -ixon In your .profile/shrc for your shell of choice. I've never needed flow control and never probably will, this stops that junk.

Why should use enable it? For one, its faster generally, for two it gets more throughput. If those two aren't enough for you I'm at a loss. Honestly I don't see a future for ipv4, ipv6 simplifies so much. Watch that nanog vid

Easy enough to just use halockrun from the hatools package for that. That is also its raison d'être really. Sure it is c but it is pretty much done as a tool over fcntl(3). http://www.fatalmind.com/software/hatools
