I have a hard time seeing this case going to trial. From the article it seems no plea deals have been put on the table, likely because both sides wanted to see the results of this ruling first. I’m guessing the criminal trial pleads out and

I’ve known quite a few people from Netflix, the dream team analogy does seem to be, at least anecdotally somewhat true. They’re somewhat legendary for competing with the same engineering talent as Google and paying accordingly. 6 figure hi

So there's a few things that could be in play here. 1. The tech market right now is a shit show, Twitter has only been saved from the general market trends because of the Elon offer. Once the Elon offer closes or falls through, Twit

The Moodys analysis, as I understand it, is house prices relative to median incomes in a market. I don’t think it’s a fluke that the overvalued markets correlate to regions that a lot of tech has moved over the pandemic like Boise, FL, TX a

Disney built a world class destination in the middle of, what is basically, a swamp. They built all the necessary infrastructure and paid for it by taxing themselves. In a lot of ways it put Orlando on the map and provided a huge boost to

That's actually covered in the article. "Mills" is the term of art for the amount levied in property taxes. Reedy Creek has the ability to tax at 30mills and currently taxes at 13.67 (1/3 of which goes to paying the debt

That’s not exactly it. Disney publicly criticized the new Florida “Don’t say gay” bill. And then said they’d no longer donate to FL legislature. They’d made a 50k donation to governor DeSantis in the past so it’s more about them NOT making

The reporting on the case is bad because a case was never made in court. Jones basically ignored court orders and wasn’t forthcoming in his responses to requests so the plaintiffs basically got a summary judgement without it going to trial.
