I just bought the book. Only $6 and has some pretty convincing reviews. Thanks! That Overwatch worksheet is hilarious - but kind of eye-opening in a way. Seeing that made me think that I just keep running over the same thoughts over and ove

I'm pretty healthy I think, at least in the aspects you listed since I get checked out every year. I'm glad it worked for you though. One thing I need to do more is exercise, so based on your experience at least maybe that will ma

This is super interesting. I've never even heard of CBT - thought you misspelled CBD oil :) My issue is that when I'm in the moment I'm sort of paralyzed by it. An attack feels a bit like a runaway train. But lately I've

Hmm, yeah maybe I'll talk to a doctor about it. Possibly a psychiatrist? I was actually considering trying CBD oil because I heard some strains work well for anxiety. I know there aren't long-term studies on it but it seems to hav

Thank you! I have heard this (keep trying other therapists before finding one that works for you) before from others but never from someone who went through it. So I really appreciate you sharing this.

PWAs are broken on iOS. Push notifications are not supported, and in general the experience is pretty bad. See this article for more details: https://medium.com/@firt/progressive-web-apps-on-ios-are-her... The worst is

This hits pretty close to home. I've been seeing therapists for my anxiety but they haven't really helped much, and occasionally there are times when I just have a pretty bad day. I have a lot of fear, but there is no physical man

On iOS you can't get notifications if you've closed out of Safari... it's not really usable. A simple scenario is - you're inviting someone to a chat room. You send them an invite and now you have to wait. Usually what p

I see. I am guessing for your app (record entry) it didn't matter that they were uninterested in those features. I'm working on an app that is highly reliant on push notifications (like chat). So if I made it a PWA, it would be DO

Thanks! But my question - probably not phrased well - was whether you told them about the app or whether they organically found the app and were ok with how to install it. I feel that if you know your customers well and vice versa (usually

Do you tell your clients to install the PWA and how to do it? Or do customers find and install the PWA without interacting with you? Or both?

Both. From an end-users perspective - someone who doesn't know the inner workings of the app store - then it feels safe. In a world where common people are becoming trained not to click to download random links on the internet and look

Getting PWAs right is difficult at the moment. If you don't get service workers right and don't build out the surrounding features (cache invalidation!) then it creates a worse experience. Then take into account the fact that PWA

Perspective. Listening to a retail investor who never gets a seat at the table get to ask so many questions was a good thing - for Gali. I can be cynical too and look at it as a PR stunt - in many ways it was given that he allowed Gali to a

Yes, I agree. I do think allowing Gali to ask just one or two questions before throwing it back to the other analysts would have been a better tactic. Allowing him to ask almost 10, especially after the abrupt shutdown of the other question

I take what he says, especially in tweets, with a grain of salt. That's why I ignored the tweet - but I looked at the earnings, which re-iterated this (as I said in the comment above)

Context is important :) He was talking specifically to and about day-traders: "We have no interest in satisfying the desires of day traders. I couldn't care less. Please sell our stock and don't buy it."

This is true, but retail investors don’t typically interact at this level. At the beginning of the call Elon said that they would let the earnings call run until they were out of questions. That clearly didn’t happen...

I was on this call. It was extremely cringey/embarrassing to hear Elon dismiss valid questions. At the same time, it was fantastic to see a young, smart, retail investor (Gali from Hyperchange) get to ask so many questions directly to

How is tag-nesting not considered an API for React? The entire point of the new context API is to get around prop-drilling. Being able to do that and express the intent in JSX is what it does well IMO...
