Looks like this was made by a team in Zürich, which is mostly German, so I imagine it came to them fairly naturally, and who doesn't want to pick cool names for hackathon projects.

Anything Jack is involved in is tainted for me until further notice. I wouldn't even dare to touch any of his new platforms, seeing his connections with Elon and how his judgement failed so spectacularly with the Twitter deal - it'

Yeah, it is. Sadly for a lot of these cases(e.g. the big 10307 eiffel tower) the parts you would get back are very likely going to look the same way, as the molds themselves are the problem and it's not usually a "bad batch".

They really need to work out their quality deficits first, a lot of recent mishaps have been inexcusable. You can't sell a $600 display model(which is a ridiculous price in the first place) with very visible gate locations from the mol

Well, someone or a group of people at Apple decided to give untrusted input to NSKeyedUnArchiver(a known exploitable API) in an OS-level service and it seems like no one stopped them or was there to review that code. That seems like a syste

CodeWeavers is contracted to work on Proton for Valve, and they are the main driving force behind it. I believe Valve only does triage for them. They're also contracting various other devs throughout the Linux desktop community to work

The remaining Twitter engineers break the API every 2 days and are slowly dismantling a functional UI into an incoherent mess that doesn't load most of the time. I have absolutely no confidence in any e2ee implementation that would be

We actually run MSVC builds for Linux by running the VC++ toolchain in Wine, it works very well apart from process startup times, which have been getting a lot better.

Web devs have to deal with Safari bugs all the time, that's why you don't tend to see them. Maybe now that there's going to be other browser engines on iOS, we can show nice "please open this page in Firefox" banner

If you cross the IO boundary to the Windows FS, yes, it is slow and your compilation will be slow. You need to have the project in the WSL FS, it's always been this way and I get pretty much native performance this way. Your editor can
