Usually talk of astroturfing on HN gets you and admonishment from the powers that be. Let’s see what happens.

What's worse is when the article touts all of the variables that have been controlled for as if the issue has been completely ameliorated.

Very cool. Does anybody know when this was added? I tried looking in the ruby doc but didn't see. That is one nice thing about javadocs in comparison. They usually say “since 1.6” or whatever.

If you go and spectate any marathon or half marathon you will realize that well over half of the participants have no business being there. Yet it is a very popular thing to do and it is a growing sport. I don’t think any amount of shoe tec

Very smart. Even if Apple only take a small bite out of carriers it is still a huge amount of money. They could end up being Netflix to Verizon and AT&Ts blockbuster.

I think your attitude is a great example as to why many people remain unconvinced. The idea that people who have doubts about climate science are generally too stupid to understand simple graph is ridiculous. It is possible and highly likel

I am OK with the thought that the the universe sprang into existence, and through some form of randomness or chance, things played out on this planet that allowed for life and for me to exist on it. Now go back to step one and assume that,
