Neat idea, but anything that ties into slack or threads in slack is asking for lost or complicated work. Slack threads are probably the worst tool for getting any work done.

This is a problem with Slack, not the users. The entire platform encourages noise. Here's an experiment. The next time someone in a channel asks a question, immediately post another question that is unrelated and see how much people

Blaming the tech industry is both not fair and not correct. In the grand scheme of themes they are a tiny fraction of total employment.

I agree, that's a problem. I would hope that most landlords are good actors, though. (heh)

Demonizing landlords is not the answer. They did not get us into this mess. It's a distraction. Prices are set by the market.

Never let facts or reality get in the way of a good old conspiracy. Everything you just said is extremely exaggerated.

Landlords do not set prices. If you owned property or a rental you would know that.

Uh, landlords don't control new construction. Government and NIMBYs do. Landlords would gladly accept new development because... it would let them make more money?

New housing does not cause gentrification. No studies support your claim. If new housing is not built then rich people will push out existing residents. Think about it.

That's up to them, and the market. It is not their fault those industries pay more.

Anyone who criticizes McKinsey has no idea how consulting, or real companies, or the real world, works. These anti-Pete articles are so shallow and ignorant. Any parent would have been proud to have their son get a job there at his age. I g

What a mess. Sad to see "tenant" organizations yell and scream about gentrification and displacement, ignoring the fact that both of those things are happening right now.

Imagine being so selfish and incapable of doing normal human things, like sit in a chair for a few hours, that you are willing to put a whole plane full of people through a bunch of nonsense and potential danger.

Yeah, no. Trump and co claimed the cut would pay for itself, yet the deficit and debt continue to grow. Job growth is consistent since 2011 and year-over-year had no difference after the cuts. Same with middle class wage growth - all on the
