All good, but there is no boiling. Just evaporation from the surface of the pooled water flooding the buildings, which will not be significant, even if it wasn't at a humid oceanside location.

Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe for two years Tepco has been dumping about 150 tons of water a day on the melted cores at the bottom of the reactor buildings (or wherever they are), and pumping 100 tons of it out to f

Some questions: Instead of doing full resolution at 20 fps, can you do a smaller resolution at, say, 160 fps? If the next generation iPhone processor is faster (a safe bet), do you think your software would allow at least 24 fps, and you co

Regarding the "court order" mentioned as being needed to listen/read/monitor, a helpful followup question might be, what court gives the order and how many such orders are in effect on average for each of the past five y

That is more than ironic. I don't think the English language has words that can even approach distantly the level of irony here. ...informed...open...deliberative...

Almost all the items in that list are a product of inadequate skills/insufficient training/overconfidence, quite consistent with the op. The degradation of basic flying skills and over-reliance on autopilot-like systems has been a

I find air disasters a strangely compelling topic, so I've read all 82 pages of comments on that site. Lots of very experienced pilots post wide range of views. Here is a list of the likely factors that contributed to the crash, based

Say you buy a song on a CD or online. Spend $1 or so. Listen 5 times, that is $0.20 per. Listen 50 times, it is $0.02 per play. Pandora pay $0.000017 per play, and is lobbying to pay less. Given how much less the current fee is compared

This is the same problem as getting pilots to not land on aircraft carriers with their landing gear up. I've heard they station a guy with a flare gun as a final notification, but sometimes the pilot lands anyhow. This idea could be used o

Overreaction. I'd take the drink over the junk an average American eats any day. I'd take it over my own well researched eating regime every other day if it seemed to be working for me. You underestimate the power of self experimentation.

Not to mention lumen per dollar increase rate of LED lighting, tablets that consume 4 watts, refrigerators that use half the power of the average installed fridge, etc. The falling prices of solar PV panels has been incredible. Most expect

A simple fix would be to give each disabled person a "wage bonus" subsidy. For each hour they work, their employer gets x$. If they were more disabled, the number gets bigger.

Given the lack of seriously dangerous threats to the usa we've heard about (and I assume we'd hear), I can't believe that just letting someone discuss a request for information they receive would be cause any real danger.
