Yep, tech can pay their employees very very well to ignore moral quandaries. Yet many still do care, goes to show money can’t fully buy people out.

Casual gaming is fine on them for me at least. Magic Arena or Civ5, performs well and totally quiet. I know this isn't most or even many gamers, but it's the gaming I did on my intel MacBook and it's way better on M1.

It looks more like moulding clay than origami folding I remember form a kid. Part way through you can see the basic form take shape and get pressed down into the samurai. Cool stuff!

I like a good clean CSS animation! They can be very short and meaningful. Maybe not for daily driver UI but somethings I like them. Infinite scrolling could be annoying with animations though, I grant you that.

I hate to be that old foggy but, aren’t websites just getting worse and bloated with JS crap? I’ve had a couple websites I use daily for work just get flashy new interfaces which causes 1/3 to 1/2 second delays in the interface wh

What a vague way to put it, but of course, sure, there was a unionizing effort. I think an interesting example of how powerful Amazon is is that changed traffic light timing to inhibit the unionizing effort[1] [1] https://www.the

It's interesting how a lot of this hinges on a mailbox which was placed under Amazon's direction and unclear to employees if Amazon could also read the ballots from it. No doubt that is shady and weird. I really wish more would&#x

Certainly, but those other systems stuck around a while after GIT was around because people possibly thought SVN/etc were as good as it gets. That said, Mercurial and Fossil came out within a year of GIT so GIT at least outcompeted the

Only 2.5x the power usage? More seriously, there's always a few comments on threads like this claiming it's unfair to compare Intel to AMD or Apple because "they have a larger node size and are hamstrung by it." Which is
