That accusation from LiveDrive is pretty serious. It either has to be true or LiveDrive is liable for damages. I have to say that both LiveDrive and Backify seem to be acting like children.

"Are you certain (and when I say "certain", I mean not just speculating about how things were set up between LiveDrive and Backify) that LiveDrive are able to tell, without a shadow of a doubt, which files belong to which Backify clients?"

There are AMD video cards with 4GB of memory these days and special cards have up to 16GB I understand.

This is a red flag on LiveDrive then. Don't use any of their white labels because if a white label ever goes down (e.g. business issues), LiveDrive immediately deletes their data. Honestly, how can LiveDrive justify such damaging actions o

"That's a legal Pandora's box in exchange for some uncertain marketing return." And this letter isn't a risk? If Backify is going to sue and LiveDrive is in the wrong, then they have enough reasons in this letter and from LiveDrive's actio

I think this looks horrible on LiveDrive. LiveDrive should have initiated a plan to get the data from the users of Backifys back to them even if Backify was being discontinued. LiveDrive could have gotten massive goodwill if they did this,

It is a constant theme to say that Moore's party is over. But there are massive $$ incentives to maintain it and it is likely to continue in some form or another -- either in terms of power consumption, multiple cores, specialized instruct

I wonder if there is case for a lawsuit here especially if there is no across the board performance issue with all of these employees who are being asked to surrender stock. I would argue that they were promised something that the company i

But isn't AIR just flash? I am somewhat confused.

I think that is a very important question. Flash has been key to RIM's strategy.

There are economies of scale for SSDs. Thus if there is more demand, you can afford to build out the costly infrastructure to create the SSDs at a lower cost because of the volume. Expect that a significant percentage of the HDD market to

Does this individual have ownership of the company? What rights did he have according to the shareownership document? He may have a legal case no matter what you think of the ethics involved.

Yeah, VirtualBox crashes for me all the time. Does it have automatic error reporting to Oracle on why it is unstable? I would hope that these crashes are fixable.

Why does Oracle care so much about this? Autonomy shopped themselves around and Oracle turned them down. Now Oracle wants to hurt Autonomy because a competitor bought them. I guess all is fair in M&A, but this just seems like a stupi

It is sort of a funny cheat though. A good prank to pull on friends to claim you have a very fast internet connection, but for a company to do this in order to promote their product, it is very dishonest.
