Russia fought along Nazis to occupy eastern europe afterwards. It was not a liberator. As for Turks, it was Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth that stopped Turks by Vienna. As for „most Ukrainians“, western Ukraine was not under Russian control

I don't have any intersecting talking points with coal runners though. When you start stretching coal runners definition, long-distance-flying-loving „greens“ will become coal runner colleagues than me :)

It's nowhere near soviet era planning. Soviet era planning was factory-made identical blocks of blocks of flats. Typically with apartment blocks surrounding kindergarten, school and a supermarket with a cafeteria. 3 minutes city if you

As a fellow (ex-)soviet from up north... Soviet way of building sucked. You guys had it a tad easier, but in USSR-proper the standardisation sucked big time. It's damn fantastic now that building a custom private house in a legal way i

Climate-wise, those hypocrites is a good chunk of that demographic. I'll change my mind when I see those people calling out en-masse mass long distance tourism. Or Greta yachta BS which generated much more pollution than 2 passengers i

It's up to the club. But if a club is fine with hypocrite posers, then it is a hypocrite posers club. Which is fine. Many people want to be hardcore, but their moms don't let them.

I guess we're far off-topic, but anyway... As an outsider, I find that part of German history fascinating. It's a miracle that Germany was neutered relatively peacefully and it took just a generation or two. Especially when you co

Yes. And that's why it's truly „far“ left. Stuff like this is what gets one labeled „far“. Same for the opposite end of the horse shoe.

When constant progress becomes the dominant culture, counter-culture is, well, counter to that. And conservative counter culture is not exactly going back to X era. You can't step into the same river twice. It's a different path o
