The best reason I‘ve seen mentioned by the founder in this thread, is showing/hiding panels, and the onboarding flow. Those are things you can’t do with a plugin. I personally also like Cursor‘s diff view way better than Continue‘s, an

MS will be tuning Copilot to the point it’s the best agent for C#, for sure. It might take a little longer ofc. But Nadella mentioned to Zuck in a fireside chat that they are not happy with C# support in LLMs and that they are working on th

Your last sentence is a bit of a gut punch tbh - I was meaning to get more familiar with Elixir for side projects, and I’ve made a few small web apps with LiveViews. Absolutely love it, even though I don’t feel I‘ve grasped the language ful

Maybe this is the right thread to ask: I’ve read that Elixir is a bit under supported by many LLMs. Whereas Ruby/Rails and Python work very well. Are there any recommendations for models that seem particularly useful for Elixir?

I‘m a heavy user and really happy with the speed and stability I‘m getting, running Linkwarden on my Hetner VPS. Only problem was in the beginning, importing a lot of existing links from Pinboard, the available RAM of my meager VPS was exce

Are you running the full versions, or quantized? Some models just don't quantize well.

The aider score mentioned in GP was published by Alibaba themselves, and is not yet on aider's leaderboard. The aider team will probably do their own tests and maybe come up with a different score.

I only had this choice though, because the EV family van market has been underserved from the start, and there are no usable used EVs that qualify. I know it’s an unfair comparison, but a pragmatic one.

EV prices are just way too high. As a father of three, I can decide between a used BMW 2 which goes 1k km on a full tank, for €17k, and a Kia EV 7 seater for €70k. Guess which one I went with. There are some other, cheaper, EV models with 7

Tangentially related: If you haven’t already, I‘d suggest to look at Radon. It‘s the #2 reason for lung cancer, and is very easy to measure and mitigate (automatic ventilation). Many countries have Radon hazard maps.

As far as I understand it works like this: 1. Small model generates k tokens (probably k>=4 or even higher, there‘s a tradeoff to be made here, depending on the model sizes) 2. Big model processes all k tokens‘ logits (probabilities) in

A less known feature of LM Studio I really like is speculative decoding: https://lmstudio.ai/blog/lmstudio-v0.3.10 Basically you let a very small model speculate on the next few tokens, and the large model then blesses
