Wow, I’ve been a vim user for like 8+ years and didn’t know about 0p even though I run into that problem all the time. I had even re-bound yank/paste to use a different register. Thanks for the pointer! This is what I love about vim, t

I just watched a video where someone demo’d GitHub Copilot by writing a comment along the lines of // IsValidEmail takes a string and returns whether it’s a valid email address The AI response was a nightmarish 100+ chara

After reading through the Unison tour [0] with an open mind, I actually think it makes excellent use of existing tools through its "scratch files" approach [1]. The gist of it is that you can check out sections of code that you wa

What would this type of support encompass? Is it limited to things like “Blender is crashing with this file, please help”, or would it include things like “this particle system is using all of my memory, am I doing something wrong”?

Is it ironic that Amjad’s last tweet before this post hit the front page links to a hashtag on his website where people are building clones of famous games like Bejeweled, Mario, and Zelda? https://twitter.com/amasad/st

The biggest issue we’ve had with Blender is performance in any non-trivial scene, both in-viewport and while rendering. We’re constantly experiencing bottlenecks that appear to be coming from single-threaded operations. It’s very frustratin

It seems like it would make sense for teams that would prefer an on-prem or privately hosted solution without paying enterprise rates. It’s also probably cheaper for teams in general depending on how much work it takes to install and admini

I highly recommend “A half-hour to learn Rust” if you’re interested in Rust but haven’t tried it yet. The article is very engaging with many small snippets that make sense to a person with a good programming background but no specific Rust

I got my beta invite last month. I messed around with it for about 30-45 minutes, only to discover that I had already blown through half of my allocated “trial credits”. This really killed my motivation to keep tinkering with the product.
