Still, what I'd like most from an open encyclopedia project is a simple, stable API. There are external projects bringing this to Wikipedia, but Google (API frontrunners that they sometimes are) don't have this at all. Hope they add it so

What about a means of pulling updates from the GitHub gem server over to RubyForge? Or a hook in GitHub that ties gem publishing into RubyForge? Seems there are a number of ways to solve this problem with just a little collaboration betwee

While I'm at it, a few feature suggestions: * Export playlist in standard format for external players. * Need a way to share playlists with friends (sharethis.com or addthis.com?). * Post playlist onto other sites (Facebook app for example)

One more thing (minor bug report): I selected a song in a 2nd search but it added one from my first search instead when I saved the playlist (I clicked songs from 2 searches for my first playlist).

Search is a bit slow ATM, but selection seems good already. I didn't think I had to click 'Save Playlist' after clicking the pluses, maybe it would be better to auto-save the first one or create a default 'Untitled' and ask you to name it.

That's sort of what we're aiming to do at http://www.dojolearning.com/ - longer term anyway. We're starting off by hitting the business market first, which is more open to change and not as tied to the existing learning systems, but we d

In my mind, a facebook app would be part of a wider strategy, such as integrating your external service into facebook to drive additional use of the core service. It didn't seem like many facebook apps on their own made that much sense, es

The iPhone packages are still crap, and they haven't changed at all. This is a BS ploy, plain and simple. Ugh... Back to the stone age for us...

Much appreciated! I just finished moving all of my projects onto GitHub and I couldn't be happier. Of course, I was formerly ball-and-chained to CVS which was just awful, so anything is an improvement. But GitHub really does take things up

Definitely. Any more than one and you're setting yourself up to fall. How I've managed to put dual focus into two projects for a while (startup and my main company) is to focus solely on one for a certain length of time, then switch to the

Thanks! We're definitely looking to completely revamp the public lesson browsing with a more complete experience for users. I agree that tagging like you describe is the best approach there. For our "1.0" launch we're focusing more on the l

We're working with a couple companies who we're working on getting some case studies and testimonials from. Soon, hopefully :) I totally agree on that one. As for the pause button, we're working on improving the flash soon too. I'm more of

I'm resubmitting since this didn't get any notice last time around. Hopefully timing is better this time :) We're about to launch our new startup, but wanted a bit of feedback from our fellow startup-starters in the HN community. Our idea c
