Burn-in on OLEDs is really just uneven wear. I don’t think it really matters how bright they get for that, unless panel heat is an issue at higher brightnesses.

We have one of these as part of a critical video workflow. Anything we can do to mitigate it? Or do we just hope it’s not impacted / replace it soon?

I mean… the grocery store can make more money by double scanning an item I purchase, or McDonald’s can skim some money by giving everyone one less pickle. At some point the service quality has to be intrinsically motivated by the company wa

It’s just hyperbole. Suburbs have grocery stores too. I’ve lived in many small towns, cities, and suburbs on several states and was never more than 10 mins from a grocery store. I live on the outskirts of the suburbs in an unincorporated pa

Interesting... I like the strategy of having each user be 1:1 with a DB. What would be done for data that needs to be aggregated across users though? If I'm subscribed to another user and they post, how does my DB get updated with th

How do you know if a flag is rolled out or not, once you get to LD integration? What if it’s a flag that’s just not in development yet? Also how long does it have to be 100% before considering it rolled out? I don’t want to lose the ability

Not defending the UX, it’s trash. But it starts showing you a timer when it’s more certain (usually around the 6-8 minute mark). I switched from a zojirushi to a Tiger from Costco, and it cooks the rice in half the time, but it has the exac

Can you really just download epic? Like it’s free? I thought it was super specialized and you had to have some kind of business relationship to get access to it. I tried to find it online but didn’t see anything.

Why’s that ironic? There didn’t used to be frontend / backend / full stack devs either. As software engineering has matured and grown in scale, more subdivision of responsibilities is a natural outcome of that. We’re not all just

Even at $1M/day, the 3 billion from Amazon and Google would last 3000 days, which is ~8.2 years. Nothing to sneeze at! And that’s assuming they make no money themselves, which would extend the runway. A billion is a lot of money. I alw

Isn’t sales a numbers game for the most part? Like you can convert 10% of leads, so if I need 5 conversions instead of 4, I need to call ~10 more people? A better comparison to software I think would be construction of a novel building. Try
