WinUAE is the emulator used inside of Amiga Forever. I bought that, thinking I would do that instead of buying a A500 Mini. But then the A500 mini was on sale, so I bought one of those as well. I hope the makers of Amiga Forever support Win

Everyone keeps saying the story is great, but as someone that cares way more about gameplay than story I could not make it very far into this game. It plays basically like Operation Wolf, but in 3D. After being railroaded through a few shoo

With all the models I tried there was a quite a bit of fiddling for each one to get the correct command-line flags and a good prompt, or at least copy-paste some command-line from HF. Seems like every model needs its own unique prompt to gi

At least OS/2 is still on their list of supported operating systems, so there might still be someone working on improving OS/2 support? DOS support seems pretty good and well-maintained at least, but I have barely tried to compile

I loved Xenon II, but the PC music was terrible. I solved that by recording the music from a friend's Amiga, looped on two sides of a cassette tape, so I could listen to it while playing the game. It was the only game I ever bothered d

I used Godot to make a tool that was not really a game at all, and I read about others doing that as well. It works great just as a simple WYSIWYG GUI editor and GDScript is not a bad scripting language.

SingleFile, yes. Thanks. Did not see it within the edit-window. I agree about permissions. In this case it looks like it needs a bit more, since it has some options like enabling auto-save after page-load for tabs for instance. Not a featur

I like Clojure, but I never had any good opportunities to use it other than for a few small hobby projects. It is unfortunate that it is so huge with tons of dependencies and no simpler native implementation. I started looking at various LI

I used Scrapbook for years. A nice thing is that even if I stopped using it I still have all the files I saved. There was some kind of export-function to save the tree of documents to an external index.html and I just keep that with all the

Any sane document will have numbered headers and sub-headers that you can refer to in an unambiguous way no matter how the document is formatted, or if you view it on a screen or on paper.

You do not need segment registers much if you stick to the tiny model. Here is someone compiling Rust to a 16-bit DOS COM executable: https://github.com/o8vm/rust_dos Not sure what the approach would be for them to exp
