Yes, but I ride only a few times and they drive thousands of times. Assuming the estimates are accurate on average, they will be fairly compensated overall, whereas I could have a very skewed result.

In my opinion, even calling it “cognitive” is too generous. What makes it “cognitive” instead of just “normal” automation? Because it’s dealing with information rather than the physical world? I think a better term is statistical or digital

I thought of this after posting. Technically, there have been vehicles allow to operate fully autonomously on the road, yes. But I mean for non-research purposes, full-featured autonomous driving for consumer-owned vehicles.

I am not willing to make this prediction, but I’d be interested in hearing if anyone thinks we will NOT see fully autonomous vehicles on the road by 2030. Even in 2010, it seemed just around the corner — but that turned out to be wrong.

I always wonder this about other subjects and wish there were better guides listing the topics one needs to know — and how to learn them. Since I know a bit of CS, I’ll try to do my part here. In college, I found this lecture series to be a

This is a thought-provoking response and does make me reconsider my position. It doesn’t please me, but perhaps we do need to encourage market pressures that force Mozilla to create a better product. However, as I said in my above post, my

Yes, which is why I said “pivot back ”. It doesn’t seem like Brew is still a focus — and I’m curious /why/. Is it simply because BMAC already had adoption and a new podcast app is a hard sell? Is Brew still in development?

I believe the research shows that skipping dinner is much more effective — in fact, there is debate as to whether skipping breakfast is even beneficial (anecdotally I would say it is). I wish I understood the mechanism better, though.
