I'm a resident of Jefferson County and a ratepayer for the sewer system, and as such I can confirm that while the portion of this article dealing with the political history and issues was fine, the opening personal part was quite misleading

Then Firefox too became bloated. And it slowed down. I started using Mozilla’s Camino (their Mac-focused browser) as a result. Then Chrome arrived, in a similar way to the way that Firefox had. It was refreshingly fast… This quote made me

Funny, the url bar is the biggest reason I want to go back to Firefox. Chrome is frustratingly bad at completing URLs from my history. I can only assume that it's somewhat intentional since Google wants you to search rather than navigate di

PCI compliance isn't a law, but rather a contractual agreement as part of your merchant account, and/or transaction gateway. If CIQ isn't taking credit card payments, it has nothing to do with them.

I ran Debian unstable on my desktop for a number of years and the experience sounds pretty comparable. For the most part I just got working bleeding edge packages with minor quality control. Occasionally you would get some breakage (which w

I'm a complete layman here, but here's my guesses. The first problem is that generally when talking about weather predictions you're talking about a large area. Asking, "will it rain in New York?" can be a loaded question if you're talking

I'm trying to fill in the gaps in the author's thinking, but I imagine it something along the lines that keeping you "aged" 25 requires resources. So time is sort of a proxy currency for the resources required to keep you alive. If you run

I think the Maps API is different than the Geocode in that the Maps API requires you to grab a key here: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html So to avoid it in that sense you'd have to force every one of your clients to go grab an

It's been awhile since I played with it, but I believe there's a legitimate reason for breaking the <script. Possibly one of the older browsers had a broken parser that would interpret that as the beginning of a new script tag?

I suppose some states may have different regulations effecting the system, but every plan I've ever seen doesn't differentiate based on the number of dependents you have. Rates are effectively tiered to single, married, or family.
