Are you willing to pay for all internet websites then?

So what you need to do is regulate what they can do with the data, not forbid personalized ads. By the way, here in Europe we have universal healthcare, maybe is something the US should consider?

What do you think they can do?
4. 424.▲

   Incognito mode?

I know in HN there is a big "personalized advertising" is bad sentiment, but I don't get what the problem is. I mean, if I am looking for a notebook, I rather have FB/IG (or Google or whatever), show me adds of a noteboo

I pay for family, and I like it. The only thing I don't like is that 50% of the time it would not recognize that I created a new user/pass combination.

But what is the problem? That I can know that you press the print button? That you chose the Edit menu? I really don't see the problem. Please, explain, I really want to understand.

So how many users do you have to ask for it to be statistically relevant for a user base of 360 million users?
9. 429.▲
   by kwanbix 3y ago

Do you think it is the same asking a small subset of users than having info on all the users? I work as a Product Manager, and trust me, it is not the same.

How do you expect companies to understand how their products are used for improvement purposes without telemetry? Honest question.

    Absolutely ridiculous.

In my last 6 years I worked on a company with 200 employees, a company with 60.000 employees, another company with 500 employees, and the last one with 150 employees. All laptops are either Lenovo or Macbooks. Like you said, maybe in your p

I see them everywhere. On the last 4 companies I worked straight, they were either the only option, or an option between ThinkPad or Mac.

Haven't heard about gun4ir. I just looked at it, and while it looks very interesting, 250 euros per gun is out of my budget.

What can I say, my kids love netflix, and we watch many shows there (virgin river, the recruit, the diplomat, lupin, kim's convenience, etc.).

99 per user per month is crazy expensive IMHO.

I've seen the recommendation many times. The price of the guns is ok, it costs about a dualsense, but the pedal is crazy expensive, and I really don't get why it costs 220 euros. https://www.sindenshop.com/products

While Jira does many many things right, it is also horrible in so many ways. What options are you evaluating?

My kids are Spanish native, and learned German and English at their 4 and 6 years of age. Never a problem. Very common here in Europe. I don't get how that could cause trouble.

Good for him. Being bilingual myself (Spanish native, English learned) I always wonder why so many Americans/Brits do not speak Spanish as their second language, or any second language for that matter. Now I live in Europe, and here it

Also that. Is an "electionist" meassure by the current president Sergio Massa (he is not officially president, but he is acting like one for more than a year) who is running for president.

I was thinking the same the other day, and cannot agree more. A bi-annual release cycle should cut waste in half. Companies keep polluting the world, as if we had another alternative to live on.

For a while, HydrongenAudio, arguably the best sound/music related forum, did plenty of listening tests. The last one sadly is from 2014: they tested Opus, AAC and Ogg Vorbis at 96 kbps against a classic MP3 128 kbps, and find out whic

Yeah, sometimes you need to go with what works for you. I had a similar problem with Fedora some 5 years ago.
