I have been using different Linux distros, and I decided to settle on Linux Mint Mate edition: based on debian/ubuntu. I tried Manjaro, the concept is very cool, but adding my Canon Pixma 5051 driver was extremely difficult, and adding

Doesn't Apple hold a monopoly on the iPhone/iPad ecosystem? Why am I not allowed to install Firefox or Chrome (real Firefox or Chrome)?

I mean, how didn't Intel and AMD saw what apple was creating. PCs have been stuck to 3/4Ghz for more than 15 years, so it is not like they didn't have the time to optimize from the consumption/heat point of view.

I still wonder how Apple was able to achieve such an incredible performance per watt ratio compared to Intel and AMD. Anybody knows how they let Apple do it?

Seeing how there are bikes that cost as much as a used car, I think is a good move. Even for bikes that cost 500 euros or more. Here in Berlin if your bike looks more expensive than 300 euros, is gone if you don't have a super good loc

Of course you can. I open rufus, and I "burn" the ISO to the USB drive. I don't know if you are referring to a more specific process, or a different process, but the ISO is then copied to the USB, and I can boot from it, inst

I imagine that very few people who use Windows have USBs on fat32. In fact, Windows format by defaults on NTFS with the option format on exFAT. There is no option fo format on FAT32, you need to use a specific tool. More so, most people jus

What do you mean? Lawnchair is on the playstore. The only thing is that it tells me it was built for an older version of android, so I cannot install it.

But the difference is that Comcast, AT&T, et.al can say, jameskilton was using this IP. The VPN is saying, I don't know.

One thing that I always wondered from VPNs. Let's say a pedophile uses Mullvad to get forbidden images, isn't the VPN liable? I mean, the law enforcement will see that the IP was from Mullvad's office, so I assume they are th

As a foreigner who moved to Berlin 6 years ago, congratulations. This is brilliantly done. It is so crazy that the biggest economy in Europe is so non-digitalized.

Select many archives, right click, and selecting extract each archive to a separate folder. Or doing the opposite, selecting many folders and telling winrar to create a .RAR file from each folder. Etc.

I don't know what ThinkPad you had, but I have had ThinkPads for more than 12 years, working daily, had let them fall on the ground (had to change screen twice), and they still work. There are companies that buy ThinkPads from banks, b

What is crazy is how Apple was able to steal the thunder from all, intel, amd, qualcomm, etc. I really wish the PC (non-apple) world steps up, because I don't like macOS at all, and I don't like to pay the Apple prices either.

The only problem I see, is that 5000 per year is very low, almost 400 dollars per month. It means that if I make 500 dollars per month, I have to pay 165 to Embarcadero. Makes no sense. I think more reasonable would be at least 24.000 per y
