Throughput for a single service / app improves, but does it really scale? Across a cluster, you will have to have data replication and sync routines, that are a whole mess themselves. The latency is not reduced, it is shifted elsewhere

Its surprising to see companies like CF being down. Like, they are the foundation on which apps and services are built. They are like the water supply, to the restaurant. Is it a correction to true value or an over-reaction to market sentim

True. A whole generation of users has been accustomed to finding their folk on social media. Whatever SM comes about, they are going to do the same. Also, the one and only business model, of any SM, is keeping people on the app , and you

Exactly. Any mechanism that moves the panel to follow the sun, must be sturdy enough to also withstand high winds, which is inevitably costlier than proof of concept ideas. Better to add more panels. A better way to ensure more power output

So, when time is different for different entities under different conditions, then time is another part of universe, rather than just a mathematical convenience of a human perception. In the thought experiment, in two frames of references m

Another way to think of it is, can you really define time without lenth? So the idea of space is required for the idea of time. It might well be possible that the idea of space is sufficient and time is just a derived perception.

Interesting, since time itself is measured and linked to motion. Perhaps it is a construct for human consciousness, because time cannot exist without consciousness. There must be a perceptor to preceive the universe and the notion of time.

Russia always has incentive to attack, because it will drive up demand for oil and gas. War is not a pre condition. Who attacks wind farms for fun anyway? It is clear that the attack is politically linked and economically motivated.

Its not just the swappable part. I think they have modularized all the electronics and GPS communication systems inside it, so that it is always booted and on standby. As soon as it is incorporated into a drone, it will be ready for work. A

Its bold to even call them investments. They are akin to a lottery / market speculation. They are assets with no underlying value, other than the subjective whims of the prospective buyer. A rich mans game, if you will.

Why use a Floppy Disk comparison at all. I guess its for comic value. But a 1 TB HDD and an associated Linux system would probably cost about 300 USD. Assuming a lifespan of about 7 years, monthly cost comes to about 3 USD per month.

Yeah, they are highly automated. Even a cursory search in Google shows that. However, winding has been a cottage industry in many parts of the world. So, you still have a large ecosystem that uses tools, jigs and fixtures for winding works.

Depends on your calculation. If you are calculating the energy input to the system vs. heating output of the system, then yes, it will be more than 100% efficient. However, if you are calculating total energy input to the system vs. heating
