It's also not possible to directly-drive the Rover anyway, with latency varying between 4 and 20 minutes depending on Mars/Earth orbit. Curiosity drives itself.

The most interesting point is that most of this isn't from Spotify or any other streaming service. People use these services the same they would as if they owned the music. It is possible that total lifetime revenue from these services co

Really? Australia has only 20 days per year (generally), but we do have 9 public holidays (10 this year in Queensland because they are moving one to the end of the year into the first, so they couldn't do that without having both on a cross

I come from a minority myself (gay from the ironically named Queensland) and find people say the stupidest things that, if modified as suggested, they would be embarrassed to say about themselves.

In my experience, it always pays to substitute the subject to the broader version when determining if something is discriminatory. How does this project sound? "A project [to empower men], launched by men, aimed at men, because men are an o

For each of these issues I can come up with a counter-point but it won't really solve anything. I agree that having this information available is a positive thing. Limiting it to either women, or even women in IT seems to be part of the pro

The trouble is, none of this (with the exception of childbirth, and there are plenty of stay-at-home Dads) is gender-specific. Unfortunately, all continuing to enforce how special women are (either positively or negatively, in this case)

The simplest mitigation to this is to store your primary systems in a different location to your backup. This way the likelihood of both your primaries and your backups becoming unavailable at the same time are significantly reduced.

I don't know why everyone thinks the company was overvalued. $480k seemed like a steal to me and if we weren't in the process of purchasing another business when I saw this deal come across the Internet, we would've submitted an offer too.

I doubt this would be required. 37signals uses Braintree and probably stores credit card numbers themselves. Besides, I'm sure for a transfer like this Braintree would transfer these existing accounts to a new Braintree account.
